Finding Employment on Craigslist

In a recent informal survey completed online, money was identified as one of the main sources of stress for the large majority of people that completed the survey. This should come as no real surprise considering that money is really what our society today is all about. If a person is in a job they hate and if that job happens to not pay them very well either then they are going to be very stressed out about things.

Even though many people work jobs that they hate, many people at the same time will also stick with those jobs far beyond what would be expected of them. The simple reason for that is that most people really don’t know how to go about a concerted job search. Beyond idly looking at a few classified ads in the newspaper, they really don’t put the time or the energy they need in order to find themselves a better job. When you add to this the fact that a lot of online job websites can be difficult to use for people that aren’t computer savvy the problem just ends up compounding itself.

Enter the idea of craigslist jobs. Craigslist is a network of websites that has postings about job openings on a city-by-city basis. If you live in Los Angeles for example then you would go to the Craigslist Los Angeles website and search their jobs there. Likewise if you lived in Boston or Buffalo you would be searching through the Craigslist Boston or Craigslist Buffalo websites respectively.

So why is finding employment using craigslist so much better than using an online job website? Well, here are a couple of reasons that craigslist might be better for you:

No Confusion: This is perhaps the biggest advantage of searching for jobs using your local craigslist website. Majority of the other job websites make you sign up for an account and ask you to upload your resume and go through a whole series of steps before you can start looking for jobs. With craigslist all you need to do is simply click on the category that interests you and a day-by-day breakdown of jobs that have been posted will appear. You can click on a link to find out more about a job and then simply e-mail the person that posted the ad if you’re interested. No hassles, no confusion and lots of flexibility.

It’s Free: While most online job websites nowadays are giving you free service (there are still some that ask you to pay), searching for a job online through craigslist is absolutely free and what is more interesting is that you don’t even need to sign up for an account to do it!

There are just two of the many different reasons for people to search for a job online through craigslist. All in all the process is an easy one that takes no more than a few minutes each day to do and in exchange for the potential of landing you your dream job it is definitely worth the time.
